Across the Bay from downtown San Diego and minutes from the airport lies the postcard-perfect resort town of Coronado, with acclaimed, white-sand beaches, palm trees and small-town island vibe. In addition to its beauty, there’s a timeless charm to its Orange Avenue main drag and historic Hotel Del Coronado. At just about two miles square, it’s also easy to get around whether by foot, bike or a four-seat surrey. Grab a bite and a cold beer at Coronado Brewing Company or a towering ice cream sandwich at MooTime Cookies and Creamery after completing the Coronado Island walking tour. And take in photo-worthy evening views of the San Diego skyline from Centennial Park.
