Rusty discovered his love of surfing after moving to La Jolla and started shaping his own surfboards. After riding professionally and shaping boards for G&S Surfboards, he started his own company in 1985 and grew into one of the most successful global surfboard brands. Rusty successfully expanded into skate, snow and wake boards while supporting such athletes as Tony Hawk and Willy Santos.
